Job summary

Panakeia is hiring an ML Platform Engineer to join a fast-growing, cross-disciplinary team. You will design and maintain a multi-omics AI platform, building data and ML pipelines, and collaborating with product, research and engineering to deliver high‑quality AI-based diagnostics.

The role emphasizes producing production‑readied ML systems from research, using Python and PyTorch, with cloud, hybrid and on‑prem deployments, in a healthcare‑focused setting. Hybrid work and equity are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years in a fast-paced environment with iterative delivery.
• Experience across the full MLOps lifecycle for cloud, hybrid and on‑premise deployments.
• Curiosity and adaptability to evolving requirements and priorities.
• Ownership mindset with proactive problem solving and delivery focus.
• Strong Python programming for data processing and pipeline orchestration.
• Experience managing large-scale, high-dimensional datasets and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and evolve a multi-omics AI platform with full lifecycle MLOps.
• Ingest, link and curate data across large multi-omics and imaging datasets.
• Standardise and automate model lifecycle from research to production.
• Build analytics pipelines for ingestion, training, inference and post‑processing with monitoring.
• Collaborate with Product, Research and Engineering to deliver high‑quality products.
• Communicate complex results clearly to technical and executive stakeholders.
