Harnham - Data and Analytics Recruitment in London is seeking a Lead ML Engineering Manager to guide a growing ML team. You will stay hands-on while shaping infrastructure and governance for scalable ML production. The role blends leadership with technical execution in a fintech context.

You will influence platform architecture, drive best practices, and collaborate with Data Science, Risk and Engineering to deliver enterprise-scale ML solutions. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience within ML Engineering, MLOps or ML Platform teams.
• Strong software engineering background with Python and cloud technologies.
• Experience owning ML platforms and production machine learning environments.
• Track record of deploying, monitoring and maintaining ML systems at scale.
• Ability to balance hands-on engineering with people management responsibilities.
• Experience with AWS, Snowflake, MLflow, Airflow or similar tooling would be advantageous.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's leading fintech scale-ups in a role where Machine Learning sits at the heart of the business. You'll lead a growing ML Engineering function while remaining hands‑on, helping shape the future of a platform that directly drives lending decisions and revenue generation.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a fast‑growing fintech operating within the embedded finance space. Working with some of the world's largest commerce and payments platforms, they've helped fund hundreds of thousands of businesses globally. Following continued investment into Data and Engineering, they're now looking for a senior ML leader to scale their Machine Learning Engineering capability.

THE ROLE
