Expedia Group in London offers an Applied Science Intern role for the 2027 program. You will design and prototype ML models, train and evaluate pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready features. Qualifications

• Must be available to commit to full program dates: 21st June – 27th August 2027.
• Must be graduating with a Master’s degree in a technical subject between December 2027 and July 2028.
• Willing to relocate to city of job location if outside commuting distance.
• Must have Python and/or Scala, SQL knowledge.
• Must have no more than 2 years' professional experience.
• Must be graduating from university in the same country of internship location.

Responsabilités

• Design, prototype, and evaluate machine learning models under the guidance of more experienced ML scientists.
• Implement clean, maintainable model training and inference code with unit testing and reproducible experiments.
• Participate in low-level system design, API design, and data modeling for ML-powered features.
• Explore, analyze, and prepare data using statistical and ML techniques to improve model quality.
• Collaborate with peers, mentors, data scientists, engineers, and product partners to define success metrics.
• Learn to work with AI-driven systems and safely integrate AI/ML solutions.
