Job summary

Holcim Ltd. invites applications for a Readymix HGV Driver to join our logistics team at the Salford plant in the Manchester area. You will operate a modern concrete mixer truck, be based at the depot, and occasionally transfer to other regional depots as required by the business.

The role demands flexibility for weekend and night work, along with strong communication and a customer-focused approach. A valid HGV licence with CPC is essential, and training will be provided for concrete mixer

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV licence and Driver CPC.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team and adapt to weekend/night shifts.
• Knowledge of AI policies and procedures is an advantage.
• Knowledge of concrete is desirable but not essential.
• Strong customer-focused attitude and good communication skills.
• Familiarity with Working Time Directive and drivers' hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate a modern concrete mixer truck to perform daily tasks.
• Based at the Salford depot with potential transfers to other regional depots.
• Uphold Holcim standards for safety, efficiency, and vehicle care.

Job description

The Opportunity

We have a new vacancies for an Readymix HGV Driver to join our expanding logistics team based out at our plant in Salford. As a Qualified professional HGV driver for Holcim you will be responsible for the day to day running of a modern company run Concrete Mixer truck, The truck will be mainly based at our depot but you will be required to transfer to other depots within the region when the company requires you to. The company expects that as a professional HGV driver you will uphold the high standards set by the company and to run the truck in an effective manner to maximise fuel efficiency and minimise and damage to the vehicle. The company also promotes team work at all of its depots so during any quiet periods we expect people to get involved and help out around plant.

What will you bring?

• Can work alone or part of a team .
• Flexible approach to hours as this role will require some weekend and potentially night working.
• Knowledge of AI Policies and procedures an advantage.
• Knowledge of concrete desired but not essential.
• Customer Focused.
• Good Communication skills required.
• A valid HGV licence and driver CPC card is required.
• Good knowledge of workingtime directive and drivers hours.
• Previous concrete mixer experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
