Overview

Mencap are seeking a Full Time, Part Time and Relief Support Workers to join our incredible team in Redbridge. As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of four people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities at home and in the community, to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily living support at home and in the community to individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Offer emotional support, encouragement and practical assistance to enable independence.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships through effective communication and person-centred approaches.
  • Support personal care and daily routines where required and agreed.
  • Work flexibly across various shifts to meet the needs of the service users and rotas.
What we're looking for

Contract options
  • Part Time 15 hrs
  • Part Time 22.5 hrs
  • Part Time 30 hrs
  • Full Time 37.5 hrs
  • Relief: Flexible working with no set hours/shifts
Shift times

07:30-10:00 / 07:30-14:30 / 15:30-22:00 / 14:30-20:00 + others. All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life. There is also a non-contractual sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
