Job summary

Thales OME Glasgow is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead design, integration and verification of mission systems within the defence domain. You will interface with internal teams and external customers to translate requirements into subsystems and verification plans.

The role requires a solid track record in concept & detailed design, IVVQ activities, and delivering complex systems. Security clearance (SC) is a key consideration; UK residence requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in the defence domain or similar mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of system engineering principles and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage complex systems integration and verification projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, integration, and verification activities for mission systems, ensuring they meet all performance and reliability requirements.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external customers to gather and understand system requirements.
• Work alongside design engineers to specify, review, and approve subsystem designs.
• Develop and implement robust verification and validation programs to ensure compliance with defence standards and operational needs.
• Act as a key technical interface between stakeholders, providing expert guidance throughout the system development lifecycle.
