Job summary

Thales in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead design, integration and verification of mission systems. You will work with internal teams and external customers to capture requirements and drive IVVQ activities across the lifecycle.

The role requires a strong background in conceptual/detailed design and successful delivery of complex defence systems, with SC clearance considerations and UK security vetting.

Qualifications

• Experience in defence or mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of system engineering principles and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage complex systems integration and verification projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, integration, and verification activities for mission systems, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to gather and understand system requirements.
• Work with design engineers to specify, review, and approve subsystem designs.
• Develop and implement verification and validation programs to ensure defence-standard compliance.
• Act as a technical interface between stakeholders, guiding the system development lifecycle.
