Job summary

Thales OME in Glasgow/Reading is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to contribute to system engineering design across the project lifecycle. You will define system requirements, interfaces and behaviours, and develop verification tests while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

The role involves autonomous work, the creation of design artefacts, and peer reviews to ensure requirements are met, with potential travel to other sites or customer locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Proficient in elicitation, decomposition and analysis of requirements.
• Ability to define system interfaces and external factors impacting design.

Responsibilities

• Define System Requirements for the product.
• Create design documentation capturing the system design.
• Define internal/external interfaces of the system.
• Define functional system behaviour.
• Develop test procedures to verify system.
• Perform integration and verification testing.
• Gather evidence that requirements are met.
• Peer-review technical artefacts.
• Share knowledge with wider engineering team.
