The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex mission systems within the defence sector.Key Responsibilities:* Lead the design, integration, and verification activities for mission systems, ensuring they meet all performance and reliability requirements.* Collaborate closely with internal teams and external customers to gather and understand system requirements.* Work alongside design engineers to specify, review, and approve subsystem designs.* Develop and implement robust verification and validation programs to ensure compliance with defence standards and operational needs.* Act as a key technical interface between stakeholders, providing expert guidance throughout the system development lifecycle.Qualifications:* Experience in the defence domain or similar mission-critical environments.* Strong understanding of system engineering principles and best practices.* Proven ability to manage complex systems integration and verification projects.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.**Essential Skills:*** Proficient in the use of Requirement Management tools (e.g. POLARION)* Experience in System design and development of complex hardware and software systems* Experience of creating and leading verification and validation programs: + establishing the lifecycle, processes and methods + Defining the IVVQ strategy + Define IVVQ strategy, establishes requirements related to IVVQ activities and perform associated estimates and schedule + Coordinate IVVQ activities including trials + Establishes priorities within the IVVQ activities and report on risks + Perform or organise testing on the manufacturer’s site or at the customer’s premises or at an Environmental Test Facility. + Analyse results and produce technical reports**Security Clearance Requirement:**Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions.
