Job summary

MBDA is seeking a Missile Architect in Bristol within the Future Products team to shape the next generation of MBDA products. The role focuses on defining structure and architecture, conducting trade studies, and advancing modular design for early concepts.

You will collaborate with S&BD, Future Systems, MOD and industry partners, gaining exposure to new technologies and leading a small multidisciplinary team through early phase missile system design.

Qualifications

• Requires Systems Engineering knowledge and breadth across disciplines.
• Degree level or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to develop early concept designs and trade studies.
• Strong planning and task management skills.
• Experience in mechanical and/or electronic design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define overall product structure, interfaces and architecture.
• Facilitate architectural trade studies.
• Support deployment of modularity, re-use and design for assembly.
• Assess technology maturity using design assessment tools.
• Support product technical and programme reviews.
