Job summary

MBDA UK is seeking a forward-thinking Future Products, Principal Systems Design Engineer to shape the next generation of missiles and integrated weapon systems. You will transform ambitious concepts into viable technical scopes, interfacing with multiple disciplines and senior stakeholders in national and international programs.

You will lead the technical narrative during early design phases, apply advanced systems engineering methods, and ensure deliverable plans align with customer

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Systems Engineering, preferably in early-phase conceptual work.
• Ability to develop and apply requirements by translating customer needs into specifications.
• Willingness to engage across disciplines and lead technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the logical and functional evolution of the system across design spectra.
• Define functional architecture and system-level performance requirements.
• Define missile system capabilities to meet operational needs.
• Own technical milestones and translate goals into deliverable work plans.
• Capture customer needs and translate into structured specifications (CPS, SRS, TRS).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical strategy with business objectives.
