Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Hydrologist or Water Resource Engineer to join the UK&I Mine Water team on a full-time, permanent basis. Preference for London, with Reading, Birmingham and Leeds also considered.

You will work on mining projects and related water resources tasks across the UK & Ireland. The role involves climate, hydrological and hydraulic assessments, water management planning, and collaboration with engineers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• BSc in Water Resource Eng or Civil Eng with hydrology/hydraulics modules.
• MSc in hydrology and/or hydraulic design is advantageous.
• Strong technical and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to water resources aspects of mining projects, incl. environmental assessments, permitting, design, ESG, water stewardship.
• Perform climate, hydrological, hydraulic assessments and water balance modelling; design water management infrastructure.
• Prepare technical documents for senior review.
• Support non-mining projects including Flood Risk Assessments and SuDS.
