Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Hydrologist or Water Resource Engineer to join our UK&I Mine Water team, ideally in London, with consideration for Reading, Birmingham, or Leeds. The role centers on mining-related water resources, environment, and water management.

You will conduct hydrological assessments, develop water management plans, and support ESG initiatives while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Travel to UK sites will be required.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in a relevant engineering/science field with hydrology focus is required; MSc is advantageous.
• Strong technical and report writing skills are essential.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to water resources aspects of mining projects including environmental assessments and water management.
• Develop water balance models and water management plans; perform climate/hydrologic analyses.
• Prepare technical documents for senior review and support business development.
• Travel for project-based site work across the UK as needed.
