Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking an experienced Hydrogeologist / Mine Water Consultant to join our Mine Water Group in the UK. The role supports projects from study phase to implementation, across the UK and internationally, with travel across the UK, Europe and beyond.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, provide hydrogeological input to PFS/FS, ESIA studies and site investigations, and contribute to innovation in mine water management.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in hydrogeology, groundwater assessment and water management.
• Postgraduate degree in Hydrogeology, Water Resources or related discipline.
• Working towards Chartered status, or already Chartered, through a recognised professional body.
• Experience supporting mining studies including PFS, FS, ESIA and site investigations.
• GIS and digital mapping experience.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Site-based investigations experience including drilling supervision and groundwater sampling.

Responsibilities

• Provide hydrogeological input to mining projects (PFS, FS, Due Diligence, ESIA).
• Support growth of mining-related opportunities across Cornwall and the South West.
• Manage project tasks, budgets and technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients and external stakeholders.
• Mentor early-career professionals and contribute to knowledge development.
• Develop technical knowledge and innovation in mine water management and hydrogeology.
• Provide hydrogeological support to wider environmental and subsurface projects.
