Job summary

Hampshire County Council in New Milton is hiring a Driver for New Forest Community Link. You’ll work split shifts from 8:15am–10:00am and 3:00pm–16:45pm, Monday to Friday, safely transporting passengers between locations using our minibus.

A current full D1 category driving licence is required (MIDAS training if not already completed). You’ll be trained on routes, prioritising passenger safety and delivering a compassionate, reliable service with dignity for all.

Qualifications

• A current full driver’s licence with a Category D1 code (MIDAS training if not completed)
• Reliable and committed to professional, punctual service
• Physically able to assist passengers with mobility needs
• Able to adapt communication to individual needs and show empathy and respect

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting passengers between locations using a minibus
• Provide a warm welcome and friendly face to passengers
• Ensure passengers have a comfortable and safe journey at all times
• Treat all individuals with dignity and respect
• Demonstrate patience, compassion and empathy in challenging situations
