Job summary

New Forest Community Link is seeking a Driver to operate a minibus on a split shift schedule. Shifts run 8:15am–10:00am and 3:00pm–16:45pm, Monday to Friday, enabling passengers to access personalised activities and services.

You will transport riders safely while delivering a friendly, supportive service. The role requires a Category D1 licence (MIDAS training provided if needed) and a commitment to reliability, safety and respectful passenger care.

Qualifications

• A current full driver’s licence with a Category D1 code; MIDAS training on appointment or prior completion.
• Reliability and commitment to provide a professional and punctual service.
• Physically able to assist passengers with mobility issues, including those using wheelchairs.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers between locations using a minibus.
• Provide a warm welcome and friendly face to passengers.
• Ensure passengers have a comfortable and safe journey at all times.
• Treat all individuals with dignity and respect.
• Demonstrate patience, compassion and empathy in various situations.

Joining our team at New Forest Community Link as a Driver, you’ll work a split shift from 8:15am - 10:00am and 3:00pm - 16:45pm Monday to Friday, safely transporting passengers between different locations, using our minibus.

What we're looking for:

• A current full driver’s licence with a Category D1 code (or equivalent). You’ll undertake MIDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) training once in the role, if you haven’t already completed this.
• Reliability and commitment to provide a professional and punctual service.
• Physically able to assist passengers with mobility issues, including those using wheelchairs.
• Understanding and sensitive to individual needs and able to adapt communication style as needed.
