Job summary

Blenheim Schools is seeking a Minibus Driver at Hydesville Tower School, Walsall, WS1 2QG. This permanent role (term-time) offers 32 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with start in November 2026. You will ensure safe transport for pupils, foster positive relationships with families, and uphold high safety and safeguarding standards.

The role requires a valid UK PCV entitlement, Driver CPC, and a UK driving licence held for at least 2 years. Sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience transporting passengers in a school setting is preferred.
• Current UK driving licence held for at least 2 years with PCV entitlement.
• Up-to-date Driver CPC and clean driving record.
• Strong focus on safety, safeguarding and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and approved locations.
• Maintain high standards of pupil safety and professional conduct.
• Complete vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Keep accurate transport records and comply with hours rules.
• Support safeguarding policies and liaise with families as needed.

Role Purpose

We're looking for a Minibus Driver to join our team, providing safe and professional transport for our students. This is more than just a driving role. You'll be a friendly face each day, helping students travel to and from school safely while building positive relationships with families and colleagues.

As a Minibus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students safely and efficiently, ensuring every journey is delivered with the highest standards of care, professionalism and customer service.

You’ll play a vital role in supporting students’ attendance, wellbeing and access to education, while representing the school positively within the local community.

What You Will Be Doing

• Safely transport students to and from school and other approved locations.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Ensure passenger safety and compliance with all transport and road safety regulations.
• Carry out vehicle checks and promptly report any defects, hazards or concerns.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with driver hours, CPC and transport regulations.
• Support the school's safeguarding culture by reporting any concerns appropriately.

What You Will Bring

• Hold a full UK driving licence (minimum 24 months), D1 PCV entitlement and valid Driver CPC.
