Job summary

Blenheim Schools is seeking a reliable Home to School Driver to join our transport team at Hendon Prep, London. You will transport students safely on designated routes, perform daily vehicle checks and help maintain safeguarding and high service standards.

The role requires a Full UK driving licence (min 24 months), Driver CPC, a Digital Tachograph Card and flexibility for split shifts during term time. You will be a calm, professional presence for students and families each day.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 24 months.
• Driver CPC qualification and valid CPC card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• A flexible approach to working split shifts.
• Experience within a transport, driving or customer-facing role.
• A commitment to safeguarding, safety and delivering excellent customer service.
• A calm, professional and dependable approach with the ability to build positive relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure journeys run smoothly, efficiently and in line with transport regulations.
• Report vehicle defects, incidents or safeguarding concerns promptly.
• Provide a friendly, professional and reassuring service to students, families and colleagues.
• Support the ongoing safety, compliance and day-to-day operation of the transport service.

Hours: 25 hours per week | Monday - Friday | 6.30am to 9.00am & 3.30pm to 6.00pm
Contract: Permanent | Term Time

As one of the first people students see each morning and one of the last each afternoon, you'll play an important part in creating a positive experience for both students and families. You'll ensure safe, efficient journeys while maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding, customer service and vehicle safety.
