Marcenta Chartering & Shipping Ltd. in London is seeking a Ship Broker to build a dedicated mini bulk desk covering 1,000-3,000 DWT, handling fast-paced short-sea and regional trades with hands-on ownership from day one.

You will source cargoes, negotiate freight rates and laycans, and develop a network of owners and charterers while coordinating with operations to ensure clean handovers after fixtures.

Qualifications

• Experience broking or chartering small/mini bulk or short-sea tonnage.
• Existing network of owners or operators in the 1,000-3,000 DWT range.
• Entrepreneurial mindset – desk to build, not join fully formed.

Responsabilités

• Source and fix cargo and tonnage in the 1,000-3,000 DWT mini bulk segment.
• Build and maintain a network of owners, operators and charterers in short-sea trades.
• Negotiate freight rates, laycans and charter party terms.
• Track regional demand, bunker costs and port conditions relevant to mini bulk routes.
• Work closely with operations to ensure a clean handover post-fixture.
