The Best Connection is recruiting an experienced Mill Setter/Operator for a prestigious manufacturing client in the West Midlands. The role operates on a rotating shift pattern, with detailed weekly hours and a pay rate of £17.69 per hour including shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience setting and operating cold roll forming mills.
• Strong knowledge of roll forming processes and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach with drive to achieve production targets safely.
• Willingness to promote and work in line with ATIRE and SQDC principles.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating roll forming mills, presses, and related production equipment.
• Producing components to production targets and reporting any issues affecting output.
• Ensuring all products meet quality specifications.
• Maintaining accurate production and quality records.
• Upholding high housekeeping standards through 5S practices.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
• Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
• Carrying out any additional duties required to support business operations.

Rotating Shift Pattern

Applicants must be able to work the following rotating shifts:

Week 1

Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 14:00

Friday: 06:00 - 13:00

Week 2

Monday to Thursday: 14:00 - 22:00

Friday: 13:00 - 20:00

Pay Rate: £17.69 per hour (including 22% shift allowance)

Key Responsibilities

• Setting and operating roll forming mills, presses, and associated production equipment
• Producing components to required production targets and reporting any issues affecting output
• Ensuring all products meet quality specifications
• Maintaining accurate production and quality records
• Upholding high housekeeping standards through 5S practices
