Job summary

Atkore is seeking an experienced rolling mill setter/operator to support production at our West Bromwich facility. You will set and run roll forming equipment, presses and ancillary gear, ensuring parts meet the required pace and quality targets.

You will maintain records, follow 5S practices, participate in continuous improvement and uphold Health & Safety procedures. The role offers 39 hours per week with shift patterns and competitive pay while supporting Atkore’s values.

• Good knowledge of roll forming.
• Able to work as part of a team and as an individual.
• Motivation to beat targets safely and to meet quality standards.
• Ability to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC values.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate our roll forming equipment, presses and ancillary equipment.
• Produce parts at the correct rate and report any issues with achieving that rate.
• Take responsibility for the quality of the parts produced.
• Keep production and quality related records up to date.
• Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area.
• Be involved in continuous improvement processes driving through improvements in all aspects of the role.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed.
• Performs Other Duties as Assigned

Hours of work will be 39 hours per week working 2-week rota shift pattern:

Shift 1 – Monday -Thursday 6am -2pm and Fridays 6am-1pm
Shift 2 – Monday-Thursday 2pm-10pm and Fridays 1pm-8pm
Shift 3 - Sunday - Wednesday 10pm-6am and Fridays 10pm -5am

Hourly pay rate - £13.00 depending on experience, plus 22% shift allowance for day shifts
