Job summary

St Mungo in Bristol seeks a Migrant Lead Outreach Worker to support migrants and rough sleepers away from street life. You will engage clients, assess needs and connect them to housing options while operating within a proactive outreach framework.

The role combines fieldwork with admin tasks, requiring resilience, strong communication and teamwork with multiple agencies. Fluency in a second language is beneficial; a UK driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in homelessness sector or with complex needs is vital.
• Able to work independently, often lone working in the community, and manage your own complex caseload.
• Resilience to work with people who may have challenging behaviour.
• Additional language skills are highly beneficial.
• A full UK driving licence is desirable for this post.

Responsibilities

• Engage with rough sleeping clients to assess needs and link them to suitable housing options.
• Balance time in the community with outreach and administrative tasks in the office.
• Help clients access healthcare, substance use support, and adult social care.
• Work in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams across the city.
• Follow a weekly shift rota including mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
