Job Opportunity: MIG Welders

We are seeking a number of MIG Welders to join a reputable business with over 60 years of experience in the structural steelwork industry. Our client has a proven track record of delivering high-profile projects and has recently secured a new 5-year major contract, prompting the need to expand their team on a permanent basis.

Our client is a market leader in steelwork construction, handling projects ranging from simple portal frames to complex refurbishment packages across various sectors including warehousing, education, residential, retail, industrial, commercial offices, and sports stadia + leisure.

Responsibilities:

1. Work on structural steel of varying grades and thicknesses, following marked-up weld details.
2. Perform fillet welding and butt welding, including full and partial penetration joints.
3. Weld in both downhand and in-position orientations, primarily using MAG and FCAW welding processes.

Candidate Requirements:

• Time-served or apprentice-trained MIG welders.
• Experience in welding structural steel for buildings, bridges, hoppers, and platforms.
• Ability to pass testing in MAG downhand for fillet and butt welds, as well as FCAW.
