Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking an experienced Welder to join a Bristol area engineering and manufacturing workshop. This hands-on role focuses on MIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, and completing projects from engineering drawings to finished components.

The ideal candidate has strong MIG welding skills, good measurement interpretation, and a commitment to quality. CNC experience is advantageous. A supportive team and long-term opportunities are offered.

Formación

• Previous experience in a Welder or Fabricator Welder position.
• Strong sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Proven MIG welding skills.
• Ability to read measurements and work to specifications.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• General engineering or manufacturing background.
• CNC machine operation experience would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• MIG welding sheet metal and steel sections.
• Measuring, cutting, folding, fitting, and fabricating metal components.
• Fabrication of sheet steel and sections ranging from 1mm to 10mm thickness.
• Operating fabrication machinery including guillotines and press brakes.
• Carrying out manual cutting using plasma and flame-cutting methods.
• Modifying, repairing, and fabricating replacement metal components when required.
• Using a variety of handheld and powered tools to complete fabrication activities.
• Ensuring all work is completed to high quality and safety standards.
