Our client based in Netherfield is currently recruiting for a MIG Welder to join their family-run and well-established team. Our client specializes in the structural industry, including gantries, staircases, signage, exhibitions, and balconies.

MIG Welder Job Description:

1. Working within the heavy steel industry
2. Welding using drawings
3. Calculating angles and measurements
4. MIG Welding
5. Fabricating from scratch
6. Confidently managing the job from start to finish
7. Working with mild steel and some stainless steel
8. Handling gauges up to 120mm
9. Using machinery such as grinders, press, and guillotine
10. Checking own work confidently
11. Time-served Welder or Fabricator
12. Ability to work with mild steel up to 120mm gauges

Desirable Skills:

• Overhead crane license
• TIG welding experience (advantageous but not essential, primarily MIG)

Package:

• £15 per hour
• Overtime paid at a premium
• Permanent role
• Day shifts: Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30, Friday 07:30 - 13:00
