Job summary

Searley Owen Limited in Grays is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our busy, established manufacturing workshop. You will weld mild steel components and take on general fabrication and assembly tasks in a stable, day-shift role.

The position is permanent, Monday to Friday, with daytime hours and optional overtime. You don't need every machine experience; practical MIG welding ability and accuracy with steel are key, with many hands-on fabrication duties.

Qualifications

• Practical MIG welding experience and ability to work in a workshop.
• Hands-on ability valued over formal qualifications.
• Experience as MIG Welder, Welder Fabricator or Fabricator Welder is suitable.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding of mild steel components.
• General fabrication and assembly work.
• Measuring, marking out and preparing materials.
• Cutting and preparing steel components.
• Working from basic drawings and measurements.
• Checking own work and finished products.
• Using general workshop tools and machinery.
