Job summary

Pertemps West Bromwich are recruiting a skilled MIG Welder for a Smethwick-based client. The role focuses on MIG welding of mild steel components, reading drawings, and maintaining quality standards throughout production.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday, 06:30 am to 4:15 pm, with Fridays off and ample overtime available. A permanent position is offered after a successful trial period, providing a clear path for career progression.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience on mild steel components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with mild steel thicknesses 5mm–25mm.

Pertemps West Bromwich are currently recruiting for a MIG Welder to join our well-established client based in Smethwick.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and growing business. The ideal candidate will have solid MIG welding experience, working with mild steel components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components to precise specifications
• Weld end plates and pin stools
• Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
• Work with mild steel thicknesses ranging from 5mm to 25mm
• Ensure all welding meets quality and industry standards

Working Hours:

• Monday - Thursday, 06:30 am - 4:15 pm (Fridays off) - 37.5 hours per week
• Plenty of overtime available

Pay Rate:

• £14.50 per hour

Permanent position offered after a successful trial period
