Job summary

Pertemps are recruiting an experienced Welder / Welder Fabricator to join a manufacturing facility in Coventry on a temporary basis. Location: Exhall, immediate start.

You will perform MIG/MAG welding, some TIG welding, and general fabrication from engineering drawings, using mechanised welding equipment; training provided. The role is short-term with potential for further intermittent work.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience within a welding/fabrication workshop.
• Strong MIG/MAG welding experience.
• Previous fabrication experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience with mechanised or automated welding equipment would be advantageous.
• TIG experience would be beneficial.
• Relevant welding qualifications/certifications would be advantageous.

Welder / Welder Fabricator
Location: Exhall
Salary: £14.50 - £17.00 per hour, depending on experience
Job Type: Temporary / Ad Hoc
Start Date: Immediate

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder / Welder Fabricator to join a manufacturing facility in Coventry on a temporary basis.

The role will initially be for around 1–2 weeks, with the potential for further intermittent work in blocks of approximately one week as production requirements arise.

The RoleYou will be working within a manufacturing environment carrying out welding and fabrication duties, with some operation of mechanised welding equipment.

Full training will be provided on the specific products and equipment used on site, although candidates should already have a strong background in welding and fabrication.

The role will involve:

MIG/MAG welding

Some TIG welding

General fabrication work

Reading and working from engineering drawings

Operating mechanised welding equipment

Completing welding/operator testing prior to production

Working to required quality and application standards

About YouThe successful candidate will ideally have:

At least 3 years' experience within a welding/fabrication workshop

Strong MIG/MAG welding experience

Previous fabrication experience

Ability to read engineering drawings

Good attention to detail and quality

Ability to work independently while following instructions

Experience with mechanised or automated welding equipment would be advantageous

TIG experience would be beneficial

Relevant welding qualifications/certifications would be advantageous
