Job summary

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust in Essex is seeking a Clinical Practice Facilitator for Midwifery to oversee pre-registration and return-to-practice placements. You will work with HEIs, midwifery staff and supervisors to promote a learning culture and integrate theory with practice.

Role focuses on learner induction, safeguarding a quality clinical learning environment, and supporting a team across wards with on-call duties (approx. 2 per month including nights and weekends).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of evidence-based midwifery practice.
• Experience in education, supervision and assessment.
• Ability to develop and support placement learning.
• Capability to engage with HEIs and practice areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop, support and oversee midwifery placements for learners.
• Educate and support staff and assessors in line with SSSA.
• Coordinate learning activities with HEIs and placement areas.
• Lead induction and orientation for learners on placement.
• Support recruitment into pre-registration programmes.
