Job summary

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Practice Facilitator for Midwifery to develop, support and oversee midwifery placements for students and return-to-practice clinicians. You will lead learner supervision, liaise with higher education institutions, and support the transition of learners into practice with a focus on ongoing professional development.

• Excellent evidence-based midwifery knowledge.
• Experience in education and supervision of learners.
• Ability to develop and manage placements and learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the practice link for pre-registration and Return to Practice learners.
• Coordinate and supervise student placements and assessments.
• Collaborate with HEIs, ward managers, and PMAs to support learning.
• Facilitate teaching sessions and skills days for learners.
• Lead on induction and orientation for placements.
• Support recruitment and integration of learners into preceptorship pathways.
