An exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife in a senior leadership role has arisen. If you are passionate about patient safety and ensuring women and birthing people receive high-quality care and positive experiences, consider joining the senior midwifery management team as Maternity Matron for Labour Ward (Delivery Suite and Triage) at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich (QEW), part of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.
We seek an experienced midwife who can maximize midwifery’s contribution to high-quality, compassionate care aligned with the Trust's values, leading the Consultant Led Labour Ward at QEW. You will be innovative, self-motivated, highly visible, accessible to women, birthing people, their families, and colleagues, with expert midwifery skills and a commitment to high-quality care. You should have excellent leadership qualities, be an effective communicator, capable of challenging to ensure client-centred, individualised care, and have substantial ward or team management experience (Band 7 or above).
You will understand the importance of multidisciplinary team working and be able to influence and sustain high standards of care, safety, and quality within the unit.
