Role: Oncology Matron
Location and Site: The Wellington Hospital, St Johns Wood, London
Full time: 37.5 hours per week

Due to career growth we are looking for a compassionate Oncology Matron, you will work within your scope of professional practice to prioritise people, preserve safety and promote professionalism and trust in effectively managing a number of wards, departments of teams to provide excellent, safe, effective and compassionate care throughout the 24-hour period.
You will be patient focused and provide nursing leadership and direction for all nursing staff across the services managed and act as a point of contact for advice and expertise on all matters relating to both professional nursing and specific specialty issues.
What you’ll bring:
Skills & Experience:
Registered Nurse
Evidence of a high level of clinical competence within defined specialty of Oncology
At least 5 years post registration experience
Maintain own professional development
Ability to produce effective ways of working and improve service delivery
Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures, including Health and Safety.

For 37.5 hours full time contracts, 264 hours holiday each year (inclusive of bank holidays) increasing with service, with option to buy or sell leave to suit you. This is pro-rata for part time contracts.
