Job summary

Hall & Kay is expanding its Midlands team and seeks two commercially astute Business Development Managers. Based in Birmingham with flexible working options, the role focuses on selling security and fire protection solutions to varied sectors while expanding the company footprint across the Midlands.

You will manage leads, build relationships, craft proposals, and drive sustainable revenue growth within a dynamic, safety-conscious organization. DBS checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record selling security or fire detection/protection in B2B environments
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel regionally
• Strong technical and solution-based sales background for customer-focused proposals
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities and meet sales targets
• Respond promptly to sales leads and manage follow-up
• Forecast and track pipelines, quotes, and reporting
• Engage with customers, contractors, specifiers, and industry stakeholders
• Prepare professional proposals and contract documentation
• Meet monthly and quarterly sales and activity objectives
• Target regional and multi-site prospects within the Midlands
• Participate in regular sales meetings and training
• Ensure compliance with company processes and safety directives
