Job summary

SSE Smart Buildings is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to cover the Midlands from field-based locations, supported by an office team in Birmingham. You will commission BMS and Control systems across multiple sectors, delivering projects on time and to high standards.

You will craft software strategies and graphics, perform wiring checks, and provide technical support to trades. A full driving licence is required due to travel across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning BMS and Control systems, especially Siemens PX and Trend IQ4 controls.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Experience crafting software strategies and graphics.
• Full driving licence required for frequent travel.

Responsibilities

• Commission the installation of BMS and Control systems as outlined by the Project Manager.
• Develop software strategies and graphics for projects.
• Perform wiring checks and plant start-ups.
• Provide technical support to other trades and sub-contractors.
• Troubleshoot to diagnose system defects.
