Job summary

Lonsdale School is seeking a lunchtime supervisor to provide structured support to pupils during the midday period, helping create a safe, well-organised environment.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 12.00 - 2.00pm and Friday 11.30am - 1.30pm. You will prepare the dining area, assist pupils with personal care as trained, and promote positive social interaction and play under school procedures.

Job description

This role provides structured support to pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring a safe, well‑organised and positive environment.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday 12.00 - 2.00pm and Friday 11.30am - 1.30pm.

Key responsibilities include preparing the dining area, offering individual support in line with training and school procedures, and meeting pupils’ personal care needs. The postholder will promote appropriate social and learning opportunities and support purposeful play activities. A consistent and proactive approach to health and safety is essential, along with the flexibility to undertake additional reasonable duties as directed by the Headteacher.
