Job summary

Yorkshire Learning Trust (YLT) is seeking a lunchtime supervisor for the Kirk Fenton Church of England Primary School to support a calm, safe lunchtime environment. You will monitor pupil wellbeing, help clear away lunchtime areas, and organise engaging activities for small groups.

The role requires a friendly, collaborative team player with flexibility to work across different areas of the school during Lunchtime. DBS checks and pre-employment checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Monitor wellbeing of pupils and assist with lunchtime activities.
• Willingness to undertake first aid training if required.
• Team player with a can-do, solution-focused attitude.
• Ability to organise activities for small groups of children.
• Listen with kindness, empathy and flexible approach towards pupils.

The ideal candidate;

• Will monitor the wellbeing of the pupils and assist in the clearing away of the lunchtime areas where necessary.
• Will have a willingness to undertake first aid training if required.
• Will be working as part of a friendly and supportive team so being a team player, with a ‘can do’ solution focused attitude is essential.
• Will have the ability to confidently organises suitable activities for small groups of children.
• Demonstrates the ability to listen carefully to pupils, showing kindness, empathy and understanding with a certain degree of flexibility as the role may change depending on the needs of the pupils.
• Has a calm, caring demeanor and is able to nurture children.
• Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to work within different areas of the school (as needed) over the lunchtime period.
