Job summary

Paternoster School in Swindon is seeking a Midday Supervisor to supervise children at lunchtimes, in the playground, dining hall and surrounding areas. You will help maintain order and safety while supporting a positive lunchtime experience for every pupil.

You will assist with behaviour and welfare, ensuring a calm and caring environment in line with school policies. The role may involve flexible working arrangements where possible and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of pupils.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise children during lunch times, playground and dining areas.

About you

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Midday Supervisor to join our friendly team. Our Midday Supervisors have an essential role in helping to realise the visions and values set out in the school’s play policy. You may be working in a similar role, such as a Food Service Assistant. If you are passionate, caring, and have good communication skills we can offer all the training and support you need.

The Role

The purpose of the job is to oversee and contribute to the care, safety, welfare and supervision of children during the lunch times, in the playground, dining and other areas, ensuring that the whole lunchtime experience is as positive as possible for all children.
