Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is recruiting a Midday Supervisor to work in Nottingham. This term-time role fits around school hours and offers weekly pay at £14.25–£16.78 per hour.

You will supervise pupils in the dining hall and on the playground, encourage safe behaviour, help with lunch, monitor allergies, and report concerns. Start date is immediate, with safeguarding and DBS checks as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, club or similar setting.
• Calm, friendly and confident with the ability to manage groups of pupils.
• Reliable and punctual.
• An understanding of safeguarding in a school setting.
• A current DBS check is desirable or willingness to apply for one.
• A first aid certificate is desirable.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supervising pupils in the dining hall and on the playground or school grounds during lunch.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and following the school's policy.
• Helping younger pupils with lunch, including opening packaging and clearing away.
• Watching for allergies and dietary needs and following procedures.
• Reporting accidents or concerns to the senior staff on duty.
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and first aid procedures.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising pupils in the dining hall and on the playground or school grounds during the lunch break
• Encouraging positive behaviour and following the school's behaviour policy
• Helping younger pupils with their lunch, including opening packaging and clearing away
• Keeping an eye out for allergies and dietary needs, following the school's procedures
• Reporting accidents, incidents and any concerns to the senior member of staff on duty
• Following the school's safeguarding, health and safety and first aid procedures

What you'll need
