Job summary

Liden Academy in Swindon is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA) for 12:00–13:30, term time only, Monday to Friday. You will work with classroom staff to supervise pupils at lunchtime, helping to ensure safety, welfare and positive behaviour.

The role includes supporting a pupil with gastrostomy feeding, following care plans, and maintaining confidential records. Training will be provided for gastrostomy care and related procedures, with a focus on safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Support a pupil with gastrostomy feeding according to the care plan.
• Follow health, safety, hygiene and infection-control procedures during gastrostomy care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential gastrostomy records.
• Monitor feeding and report concerns promptly to staff or healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunch to ensure safety and welfare.
• Work with classroom staff to support lunchtime activities and behaviour management.
