Job summary

Ormiston NEW Academy in Wolverhampton is seeking two reliable Midday and Break Time Supervisors to join our safeguarding team. You will help ensure student safety during lunch and free time under supervision.

The role is 5 hours per week across five days, with training provided. We offer a supportive environment and opportunities to develop within the trust, plus access to staff benefits.

At Ormiston NEW Academy we are looking for two midday supervisors to join us at Ormiston NEW Academy, working 5 hours per week over 5 days. The role of the midday supervisor is to work under the direction and instruction of senior staff to ensure the safety of the students during lunch and free time activities. Ormiston NEW Academy caters for 11 to 19 year olds. With 1,066 students on roll, we provide a vibrant learning environment with first-class facilities. NEWA has undergone an OFSTED inspection under the new framework and are beyond proud to announce that we have been awarded a strong grading in four areas: attendance and behaviour, inclusion, leadership and governance, and personal development and wellbeing. In the remaining three areas, we are meeting the expected standard. The new framework is deliberately more ambitious, with higher expectations set for schools across all areas. As a result, meeting the expected standard reflects a stronger benchmark than under previous inspection arrangements. Achieving a strong grading in any area is, therefore, a significant accomplishment, and indeed we have achieved four strong gradings.
