Job summary

Ormiston NEW Academy is seeking two midday supervisors to join our team. Roles are 5 hours per week across 5 days, to supervise lunch and break times ensuring student safety under supervision.

We value teamwork and reliable, friendly staff who can work with pupils and colleagues to maintain a calm, safe environment during school hours.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work under supervision.
• No formal qualification required for this role.
• Experience as a supervisor or in a school setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students at lunch and during free time to ensure safety.
• Work under the direction of senior staff to support wellbeing and orderly routines.

At Ormiston NEW Academy we are looking for two midday supervisors to join us at Ormiston NEW Academy, working 5 hours per week over 5 days. The role of the midday supervisor is to work under the direction and instruction of senior staff to ensure the safety of the students during lunch and free time activities. Ormiston NEW Academy caters for 11 to 19 year olds. With 1,066 students on roll, we provide a vibrant learning environment with first-class facilities. NEWA has undergone an OFSTED inspection under the new framework and are beyond proud to announce that we have been awarded a strong grading in four areas: attendance and behaviour, inclusion, leadership and governance, and personal development and wellbeing. In the remaining three areas, we are meeting the expected standard. The new framework is deliberately more ambitious, with higher expectations set for schools across all areas. As a result, meeting the expected standard reflects a stronger benchmark than under previous inspection arrangements.
