Job summary

Buckden CofE Primary School is seeking a reliable midday supervisor to work 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm daily, ensuring a safe, fun lunchtime for pupils and promoting social development.

You will supervise the dining hall and outdoor areas, monitor behaviour, provide emotional support, and help plan simple activities under direction, modeling positive conduct at all times.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime in the dining hall and outside play areas to ensure safety and welfare.

• Respond to injuries or accidents according to school procedures.
• Be a positive role model for the children.

Job description

At Buckden CE Primary Academy we require a midday supervisor daily between 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm to ensure the security and care of our pupils whilst promoting their social development during the lunchtime period to provide a fun, safe and caring environment.

The role is diverse and your main duties will include:

Supervising the pupils during lunchtime in the dining hall and outside play areas ensuring the safety, welfare, physical and mental well-being of pupils whilst maintaining good order and discipline

Monitoring of behaviour of pupils discouraging in a positive way any anti-social behaviour, providing emotional support where necessary

Arranging and supervising appropriate activities under the direction of the Co-ordinator

Maintaining a positive working relationship within the team of Supervisors

Ensuring any pupils who suffer any injury or accident are dealt with appropriately in accordance with the school’s agreed procedures

Maintaining a positive working relationship within the team of play assistants

Being a responsible role model for the children
