Job summary

Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Primary School is seeking a caring Midday Supervisor to ensure a safe and happy lunchtime for pupils in the dining hall and on the playground. This permanent, term-time role is 7.5 hours per week, during school hours.

The school and trust emphasise safeguarding, inclusivity, and a supportive environment. DBS checks and standard pre-employment checks are required for successful applicants.

Responsibilities

• Supervising children in the dining room, helping to serve meals, and ensuring lunchtime runs smoothly.
• Overseeing playtime activities in the playground and indoors on rainy days, encouraging fun, healthy, and active play.
• Promoting good behaviour and positive interactions; acting as a role model for the children.

You will look after our children at lunchtime, in the dining room and in the playground to ensure that they remain safe.

This is a permanent role is ideal for someone looking to work during the day and in term time only. You will be working for 7.5 hours per week.

About the role

As a Midday Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in the children’s lunchtime experience by:

• Supporting and promoting good behaviour and positive interactions.
• Being a role model and setting a positive example for the children.
• Supervising children in the dining room, helping to serve meals, and ensuring lunchtime runs smoothly.
• Overseeing playtime activities, whether in the playground or indoors on rainy days, and encouraging fun, healthy, and active play.
