Job summary

Swallowdale Primary School in Melton Mowbray is seeking a part-time Midday Supervisor to joins its lunchtime team. The role covers 6.25 hours per week during term time (38 weeks per year), with salary scale (£3,610 to £3,637) and ASAP start date.

As part of the Bradgate Education Partnership, you will supervise and support children, model positive behaviour, and work with colleagues to ensure a safe, inclusive lunchtime experience. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for interviews.

Job responsibilities:

• Supervise and support children during lunchtime and playtime activities. Encourage and model positive behaviour, good manners and respect for others. Proactively engage children in a variety of fun and inclusive activities. Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure every child enjoys a positive lunchtime experience.

Ideal candidate:

• Be able to work well within a team as well as use their own initiative
• Be able to communicate with adults and children effectively
• Be motivated to support the children; developing personal, social and language skills.
• Understood the importance of making everyone feel as though they belong.
