Job summary

Heage Primary School is seeking a motivated Midday Supervisor to join the team. The role is part-time (6.25 hours/week) for term time only and permanent, with responsibilities across playground and dining hall supervision.

The candidate should be organized, calm and communicative, helping to create a safe, positive lunchtime environment and engaging activities for pupils. Training and professional development are offered within the Transform Trust network.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a school setting.
  • Ability to supervise and safeguard children during playtime and dining.
  • Effective communication with staff, parents and carers.

Responsibilities

  • To use class registers and operate the system designed to ensure all children receive a school meal.
  • To encourage dining arrangements that promote an orderly and pleasant meal service for pupils.

Heage Primary School is looking for a motivated, energetic and organised individual to become part of the Midday Supervisor team.

We are a one-form-entry Primary School based in the village of Heage, near Belper in Derbyshire. Main Responsibilities are:
  1. Supervision, organisation and safeguarding of children within the playground or dining hall

environment.

  1. Organise and develop interactive activities for the children during play
  2. To use class registers and operate the system designed to ensure all children receive a school meal
  3. To encourage dining arrangements that promotes an orderly and pleasant meal service for pupils.
  4. To assist as required to ensure a calm, clean environment in the dining hall

the successful candidate will be friendly, have good communication skills as well as the ability to adapt their approach to suit the needs and different personalities of the children. You will:

  4. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build on and maintain strong relationships with staff, parents and carers, children, governors and the local and wider community.
