Job summary

The Forest School in Knaresborough is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisory Assistant to join a supportive school team. You will supervise and support children with complex learning needs during lunch, ensuring safety and positive play in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 11.45am to 1.30pm, term-time only (38 weeks). A proactive, team-minded approach and clear English communication are essential to assist with dietary needs and promote wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience appropriate to working with children and young people.
• Awareness of health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to converse clearly in English.
• Self motivation and is also organised.
• Previously enjoyed working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime in indoor and outdoor areas.
• Ensure safety and well-being of pupils across playground and dining hall.
• Support with dietary needs and facilitate positive play.
• Support and supervise children with complex learning difficulties during lunch period.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our supportive school team. In this role, you will work as part of a collaborative team supporting and supervising children with complex learning difficulties over the lunchtime period.

The hours of work are Monday - Friday 11.45am - 13.30pm. Term Time only (38 weeks)

You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being and social interaction of pupils across indoor and outdoor settings, including the playground and the dining hall. You will assist with dietary needs and facilitate positive play
