Job summary

The Forest School is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our supportive school team in Knaresborough. You will supervise children with complex learning needs during lunch and help ensure their safety and well-being in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Role involves monitoring the dining hall and playground, assisting with dietary needs and promoting positive play. You will work with a collaborative team during the term-time hours of 11.45am to 13.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience appropriate to working with children and young people.
• Awareness of health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to converse clearly in English.
• Self motivation and is also organised.
• Previously enjoyed working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, well-being and social interaction of pupils across indoor and outdoor settings, including the playground and the dining hall.
• Assist with dietary needs and facilitate positive play.
