Oldswinford Church Of England Primary School in Dudley is seeking a caring Lunch Hall Assistant to maintain a clean, safe dining area and support pupils at lunchtimes.

The role requires Paediatric First Aid qualification or willingness to train, a satisfactory enhanced DBS check, and the right to work in the UK.

Hours are 11:50am to 1:05pm, Monday to Friday during term time, with occasional extra training days; closing date 28 September 2026.

Job description

Oldswinford Church Of England Primary School is a friendly and welcoming school with an emphasis on promoting high standards. The Governors are looking to appoint a caring individual in the Lunch Hall to ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained at all times and to provide First Aid to our pupils as necessary.

You should show a caring and sensitive attitude towards the children and have an understanding of their medical needs. Candidates must have a relevant, current Paediatric First Aid qualification or be willing to complete the training.

You should have good interpersonal skills and be able to lead by example. The hours of work are from 11.50am to 1.05pm Monday to Friday, during school term time. You may be required for an extra couple of days during term time for training or a termly meeting. Due notice will be given for these days.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this. The successful candidate will therefore require an enhanced DBS check. Proof of permission to work in the UK will also be required.
