Microsoft Security Business Development Manager x3

Focus on Multi Vendor Microsoft-first Security Services including Cyber Security, MXDR, Cloud, IAM, Data, AI

The Customer...

Partnered with a global Microsoft Security Solutions Partner and MISA Awards Finalist to build their Security Business Development and Account Management team as part of a new strategy.

This growing, Microsoft-first security business also sells wider vendor services. They are a MISA member and awards finalist, focusing on the larger SMC sector and Enterprise across multiple industry verticals. They seek motivated Security BDMs to support their growth.

Ideal candidates have experience in cyber security sales, managed security, and/or PS consulting, with established contacts at Microsoft to facilitate sales.

Requirements include understanding and experience selling MXDR and security consulting/services, leveraging tools and credibility provided by the company, which offers customer IP products, a global sales operation, and strong vendor relationships.

You should be a motivated, experienced new logo seller, possibly with multiple service sales experience, eager to deepen security expertise, supported by a team with presales, consulting, and unique customer products.

Managed Security Services:

  • Managed XDR

Professional Services/Consulting:

  • Cloud Security, Defender for Cloud/Entra/Intune
  • Purview Compliance/Data Governance
  • Security Copilot

Responsibilities...

  • Grow business within new accounts.
  • Build relationships with prospective clients and vendors, including Microsoft.
  • Create and manage sales pipeline across security services, consulting, and presales.
  • Maintain contact with existing clients.
  • Track relevant metrics.
  • Understand customer security posture and identify opportunities.
  • Advise customers on suitable security services and solutions using expert knowledge.

Key Experience...

  • Complete sales cycle experience, including deal closing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Managed and/or Professional Security Services.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Security stack and other vendors, including licensing models for MXDR, cloud, IAM, Purview, Copilot for Security.
  • Ability to discuss solutions with customers.
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets for security services.
  • Experience selling MXDR/MDR services and security solutions into new customers, including PS and MS.
  • Interest in Microsoft or other security vendor services.
