Job summary

Outsource UK Limited is seeking a Microsoft Optimisation Manager to lead Microsoft licensing optimisation ahead of a major Enterprise Agreement renewal. The role covers reviewing 365 licensing, data-driven cost-saving strategies and cross-team collaboration to optimise the technology estate.

You will own the analysis from data gathering to clear, actionable recommendations, presenting findings to senior stakeholders and the board. Hybrid UK-based role with travel across sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Microsoft licensing, especially Microsoft 365 licensing in large/complex organisations.
• Strong understanding of renewals and Enterprise Agreements.
• Experience analysing licence utilisation and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Background in Software Asset Management/IT Asset Management or related discipline.
• Experience working with large datasets, reporting tools and licensing analytics.
• Good commercial awareness including licensing costs, vendor negotiations and renewal planning.
• Ability to translate licensing information into clear, measurable business benefits.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to present to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Review Microsoft 365 licensing across the organisation, assessing allocation, utilisation and consumption.
• Identify unused or underutilised licences and recommend optimisation opportunities.
• Analyse licensing data to identify cost savings and improve value from the Microsoft estate.
• Prepare for the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement renewal with clear requirements and consumption insights.
• Assess licensing models across Microsoft 365 (E5, Copilot) and related Azure/Security/Power Platform services.
• Develop reports, dashboards and actionable insights for commercial decision-making.
• Collaborate with IT, SAM/ITAM, Finance, Procurement, HR, Identity and Technology teams to validate requirements.
